» Use of insecticide impregnated mosquito nets
Distribution of mosquito nets impregnated with Deltamethrine at subsidized cost.
Support through demonstration and education to use the mosquito nets.

Regular follow up to encourage correct use of these mosquito nets.

»  Breeding of Gappi fish
Training in breeding the Gappi fish which feed on mosquito larvae.
»  Soak pits and cleanliness of surrounding
The Danteshwari sevaks and sanghies provide health education to the tribals and try to inculcate healthy habits and encourage them to keep the surrounding free of stagnated water through individual and collective efforts by the community.
»  Spray of insecticide in the village
The Danteshwari sevaks act as watch dogs and ensure regular and timely insectiside spray through the Government health department.
 
  Diagnosis and treatment of Malaria
The village volunteers or Sanghies and the traditional healers (Dehadi Pujari) of the 25 tribal villages have been trained by SEARCH to collect blood smears from the patients with symptoms of malaria for further microscopic examination at Maa Danteshwari Hospital of SEARCH. They have been provided with medicine for treating malaria. If needed the patients are referred to the Maa Danteshwari hospital of SEARCH for further consultation and treatment.
