Ongoing Research Studies in SEARCH Field Area

1	Management of childhood infections with antibiotics by training community based health workers, including management of neonatal sepsis since 1996.
2	Longitudinal vital statistics data collection since 1988, including estimation of causes of childhood deaths using verbal autopsy since 1992.
3	Development & testing for the past decade, a package called 'Home-based neonatal care (HBNC)' for reducing the neonatal mortality rate, by training community health workers.
4	Under the ANKUR project, the replicability of the HBNC package has been tested at seven NGO sites, from different parts of Maharashtra, India. The research papers based on the evidence generated during the study will be published soon.
